We're not just meeting boat people.

Meet Ernesto and Herlinda Zambrano. We met Ernesto at a ceviche cart, completely at random one day while we were out shopping for boat parts, one stainless steel screw at a time. We have been fast friends ever since. Ernesto is in Real Estate in Mazatlan and his wife Linda is a Air Traffic Controller at the Mazatlan Airport. Once you meet Ernesto you will meet all of Mazatlan! He knows everyone. Pictured here in the town of El Quelite for breakfast.

Through Ernesto and Herlinda we met John and Martita Hannan of Carmichael, CA.
We invited the whole crew over to our boat for a trip over to Stone Island and a tropical pizza at Benji's. This was Ernesto and Linda's first sailboat ride in Mazatlan. They were all real troopers. The mainsail was full of water from a storm and completely soaked Ernesto when the boat healed over.
John, Martita and Herlinda ready for a dinghy ride out to the boat. It's about 4:00 pm, do the math. A dinghy trip to the boat, motor over to Stone Island, two dinghy trips to the beach, order pizza, eat, drink, two more dinghy trips (Now in the dark), motor back to the old harbor and put the anchor down (in the dark), dinghy trip back to the dock. Whew! Thankfully "No Problemo"!
